We are delighted to share with you an excellent review of the Vector floorstanding Loudspeaker from the Geometry Series. Leading French publication, Diapason awarded the Vector the highest stamp of approval – the Diapason D’Or.
The Vector was launched in 2011 as part of a new Series of speakers called the Geometry Series. The Series has just been added to in the form of the a new centre speaker, the Fulcrum 650 and the new Wilson Benesch flagship speaker, the Cardinal.
A 2.5-way design, the Vector boasts the latest drive technologies in the Wilson Benesch marquee. The WB Semisphere Tweeter is supported by a bass and mid-range Tactic-II drive unit. As Diapason found the performance of this product is quite phenomenal and represents excellent value for money.
The Vector enclosure astonished us with its transparency, it’s speed is first class and the appearance of the sound from the black background is completely stable and therefore preserves the musical core. Timbre, superb, what’s more is that it is realised in three dimensions with the sensation of space, this quality is only found in ambitious products… but here it is successful.

Known for its innovative turntables, Wilson Benesch offers a range of speakers, designed with the same originality. The absence of tangible distortion, allows the sound image to be presented with remarkable clarity. The materials work to contribute to this success – the carbon – aluminium mix. The baffle is realised from a massive section of aluminium, which supports a significant reduction in vibration. It uses a true 2.5-way, ultralinear Semisphere tweeter, with a neodymium magnet for high power. The low and the mid is entrusted to two 170mm Tactic-II Drive Units.
The Listening

Another major asset, the different types of music are presented with great clarity, in the spirit of the famous B&W Signature Diamond. A revelation, high-performance yet very accessible.
