Wilson Benesch is proud to announce that the TESSELLATE Ti-D Diamond has been named ‘Phono Cartridge of the Year’ by The Absolute Sound in January 2026.
The award follows an in-depth review by Jacob Heilbrunn, who evaluated the cartridge across a wide range of recordings, examining not only its technical execution but its ability to convey musical truth with realism, scale and authority.

Selective Laser Sintered titanium alloy body
Additively manufactured to achieve extreme stiffness with minimal mass. The curved geometry, developed through generative design in combination with the most advanced titanium additive manufacturing systems available, is engineered to increase rigidity and suppress resonance at the generator interface.
Carbon fibre cantilever sleeve
A unidirectional carbon fibre sleeve, placed in an offset asymmetrical position along the cantilever, is designed to stiffen and damp the structure, dissipating vibration before it can contaminate the signal.
Precision set-up parameters
Tracking at 1.3g, with 0.35mV output and recommended loading of 100–300 ohms, the Ti-D is engineered for accuracy, stability and long-term record preservation.
As with Wilson Benesch loudspeakers and GMT Collection turntables, the objective is singular: preserve signal integrity by controlling structure and energy at source.
Installed on a TechDAS Air Force Zero turntable with a Graham Phantom tonearm and the CH Precision P10 reference phonostage, Heilbrunn encountered what he described as:
