The Bristol Sound and Vision Show 2010

The Bristol Sound and Vision Show 2010
The Sound and Vision Bristol Show.
The Bristol Sound and Vision Show allows Wilson Benesch the opportunity to demonstrate its Reference High End Audio credentials and advanced carbon fibre technologies.

The “Wilson Benesch Glass House” as it seems that it is now known and refered to by the cognoscenti, provided the opportunity for thousands of visitors to enjoy meeting the Wilson Benesch staff and see what British High End Audio is doing. The Bristol Sound and Vision Show was selected as the platform to demonstrate our Reference system this year with two pure two channel systems based mostly upon Audionet amplification, with one “small” exception.

The Wilson Benesch Reference included the original Wilson Benesch Turntable (no longer in production) with Nanotube One Tonearm. Audionet systems including the new Reference Pre amplifier, the Pre G2 and latest incarnation of the all disc playing, VIP G3.

All the cable and interconnects were as usual provided by Darren Smith of Clearer Audio who was in attendance throughout the show and to whom we owe a big thank you for all his knowledge, support and hard work during the whole event.

Now we come to the small exception, the remarkable 100 watt DX Mono block valve amplifiers from K.R. Audio. K.R. Audio may not be a brand that many in England know about but that is likely to change over the next few years. K.R. Audio is based in Prague and has been making valves for decades and more recently designing, the last decade, designing new valves that are purpose built for the purpose of audio reproduction. As a manufacturing company we share Dr Eunice Kron’s views on design capability through manufacturing expertise and were very grateful to have the owner of K.R. Audio with us this year. Although this might be the first visit for K.R. Audio to the Bristol show, judging by the response of the public we know we will probably see her in Bristol next year. As you can see from the images below, these innovative valve designs are quite remarkable both in appearance and performance. We were delighted by the results that we achieved with K.R. Audio / Audionet combination. Further information will be made available on this News Section about these products during the early part of next week.

We took the opportunity to show our new cartridge, the Ply2, the elegant new Chroma finishes as can be seen in the White Arcs and the Piano Black Curve. These robust finishes set the highest of standards, standards that our competitors admire and covet almost as much as the Ebonised Walnut Gloss finish, also on display on the Chimera. Rounding all this off was the Limited Edition finish that was ear marked for the A.C.T. C.60. This is now extended to the Torus to allow owners to match the finish.

The Bristol Sound and Vision Show is a major event for Wilson Benesch and we would like to extend once again our sincere thanks to Tony and Jerry and all the staff who make this event such an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Bristol Sound and Vision Show next year?…… will be the best yet!

We look forward to seeing you in the Wilson Benesch Glass House.
